Our Beneficiary
Serving Those in Need
The No Tie Dinner & Dessert Party is a benefit to raise funds for AIDS Services of Dallas (ASD), which provides housing and supportive services to low-income and formerly homeless men, women, children and families living with HIV/AIDS. ASD serves clients across North Texas.
Our Mission
The mission of ASD is to create and strengthen healthy communities through the delivery of quality, affordable, service-enriched housing for individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS who are economically disadvantaged and to coordinate a broad range of direct services and programs, including advocacy and education.
What We Offer
ASD provides housing and supportive services to low income and homeless men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS. Residents are empowered to live rich, meaningful lives by avoiding nursing homes, hospitals, and traditional hospice placements.
They are involved in the community at ASD by participating in Residents Councils at each facility and serve as voting members of the agency’s Board of Trustees. ASD currently operates four Special Care Facilities licensed by the Texas Department of Health: The Ewing Center, Revlon Apartments, Hillcrest House, and Spencer Gardens.
A Supportive Environment
Along with a home and a mutually supportive community environment, residents at each facility are provided with a range of services including: 24- hour home health care, medical management, social case management, food services and transportation for residents. Since the agency’s inception in 1987, AIDS Services of Dallas has provided over 285,000 days of care to more than 1,040 men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS.
